California 2014

We rang in the New Year in sunny (and abnormally warm) Southern California.  Of course, while there, we celebrated New Year's like any old couple and kissed each other at 9pm cuz it was midnight in New York already.  Besides going to bed early, we got to have a lot of great family time.  The girls keep loving it more and more each time we go back.  Everything from old friends to the waves crashing to the delicious Mexican food.....and of course their favorites...Grandma and Grandpa times TWO!

Our days were filled with beach going, laughing with friends, collecting shells, strolling the town, eating, hanging out with family and even going to a petting zoo where the girls got to ride a horse! One of my personal highlights from the trip was seeing the Molinas.  We missed Jordan and Chad cuz they were galavanting over in Europe.  But cool Uncle Steve and outgoing Aunt Donna and even smartie pants Evan came by to play!  We are ever so grateful for our times spent in California and we always appreciate the wonderful hospitality we get from our parents.  Thanks for loving us so well Mom, Doug, Dad and Kathy!

Thankful for these two sillies today.  As they nap the day away, I pray that they will wake up refreshed and re-energized so we can PLAY again!  Oh how sweet it is to cuddle with them, but I'd rather have them feeling better and wrestling with each other than look into those sad, sick, droopy eyes.  Your mommy loves you, Katin and Aubrey!  And I will forever take care of you!
