Cutest Thing Ever!

It's hard to blog when you have a baby! But there are so many times that I want to show her off! I can't believe she is already 8 weeks old. I think she is the cutest thing ever. I know those of you with kids and really cute shoes will disagree, but that's OK. Your kid and your cute shoes can be the cutest thing ever according to you. But my sweet baby girl is MY cutest thing ever.

Katin Anne
Here she is looking a lot like her daddy:)

I caught her waving at me- and that's almost a smile...she's smiling all the time now!

I just want to hug her all day long!

10 things people never really tell you...

And maybe it's on purpose!

After 9 months of carrying a child:

1. The water breaking isn't just a one time thing... you could be sitting in the doctor's office after it broke once and all of a sudden have wet pants...again!

2. The labor and delivery floor has a pretty awesome stash of crackers, tea and ice chips!

3. Some nurses don't say goodbye to you when their shift ends.

4. Newborn babies look really gross when they first come out- you kinda look at your kid and go, hmmm...OK....looks good....she's gonna be a cutie?

5. The "bugger sucker" is the coolest thing you walk away from the hospital with- besides your new child.

6. You suddenly become really good friends with the "always" brand...

7. Maternity clothes fit better AFTER delivery.

8. Breastfeeding HURTS LIKE HELL at first. But then again, it's not foreplay....said one of the nurses...no joke.

9. Diapers really do go fast, and it's about 18 cents per diaper!

10. No matter how much you sleep when baby sleeps during the day, no one EVER wants to wake up in the middle of the night.

Despite the fact that either no one told me these things or someone did and I just didn't listen... it's the greatest thing in the world to look at my little baby Katin and just watch her live.

Katin Anne

Born October 24 at 11:30am

7 pounds 12 ounces

21 inches long

REALLY CUTE!

Tuesday, October 20, 2009

Seriously...

I think it's time...

My glow is gone (if I ever had one)

My cheeks are red...all the time

My maternity clothes don't even fit

Not joking- my belly shows in half my shirts

My blood pressure is higher

My fingers are more fat than that other blog I wrote (the one where my fingers were REALLY fat)

My bladder is full all the time- even if I don't drink anything

My waddle isn't exactly runway material

My belly button is missing

My appetite is quite impressive

My phone calls are answered like this: "are you having the baby?!"

My prenatal pills are running low

AND MY BABY is 81/2 pounds!!!

I think it's time. I FEEL fine- I feel great actually. Surprisingly, I have energy and I really enjoy feeling the baby kick and squirm. I enjoy being spoiled by my husband and I enjoy seeing my big belly in the mirror. But, really, I think it's time. (see list above) Maybe she'll come tonight! As cute as she looks in black and white, I just want to see her in color.

Mmmmmmm...Mac and Cheese

Nothin like homemade mac and cheese and a super sexy hubby in his cut off "Belichick" hoodie to eat it with.
After watching the food network I quickly logged in and found the recipe I was drooling over as I stared at the TV. The recipe is super easy and you don't really need a lot of ingredients. What mac and cheese recipe does??? The only random thing I had to buy was Nutmeg...guess it's the secret ingredient. Although the recipe called for gyeure (not sure if that's how you spell it) cheese, I substituted it for Monterey Jack...much much cheaper!

So, after I had all the ingredients out on the counter, I began to grate the 12 ounces of cheddar cheese. I just couldn't bring myself to get the already grated kind...it just looked so much better as a block. As I sat and grated, my aforementioned sexy hubby helped me with the other steps in his super awesome cut off sleeve Bronco hoodie. He wears is all the time now. I'm scared to wash it cuz he might get mad it's not available to wear.
Needless to say, our mac and cheese was delicious and we've had it for every meal for about three days now. It's a baking pan of never ending goodness! YUM!

If you want to make it too (Chelsea) here is the link: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/mac-and-cheese-recipe2/index.html

Showering of Love

I had some wonderful gals throw me a baby shower last month. Heather, Deborah, Ashlie, Monica and Susan did a great job making sure I was showered with encouragement and love! Everyone there was so kind and generous with their gifts, too. I was so appreciative of everything we got... from the cute girly sleepers to the pack n play. I am really excited to use it all! Hopefully it's soon!
Here I am opening some gifts.

The most exciting part of the whole shower was the weekend. I knew my mom was coming out to celebrate and spend time with us, but I never had any hunch at all that Becky and Jordan would be here too!!! What a great surprise!!! Becky showed up at our door Friday morning bright and early just in time to come with us to our refinancing appointment...hahaha. We spent the rest of the morning at a coffee shop talking with her and waiting to pick up mom. Well, we show up at the airport and Jordan is standing
at the curb...not my mom! I thought, "Could it reallt be Jordan? It is!" Then my m
om popped out of her hiding place and we all crammed into the car. The weekend was full of laughing, ice cream, John's Restaurant, comfy beds, the concierge lounge and of course great company. Our girls weekend was one I will never forget. Thanks Mom, Becky and Jordan for making that weekend so memorable!!!

Here are the gals who surprised me! Becky, Jordan, Mom.

Also, just a side note...Thomas and I went to the doctor today and saw our baby! She looks really cute, albeit, in black and white, but we got to see her mouth open and her eyes blinking. She has adorable little hands and feet, but I would be lying if I wasn't a little nervous. SHE'S 8 POUNDS!!!!! Maybe she will run out of room and just decide to come meet us tonight! YIKES!

A Sandwich and the Mountains

Yes, it's true... a sandwich was finally consumed and we embraced the beauty of the mountains. After about 8 months without his favorite cold cut, he finally gets a sandwich. A few weeks ago, I packed an AWESOME picnic for Thomas and I to share. He had the day off work so we drove all the way up Baseline to Gross Reservoir to have a picnic. It was a beautiful day. We found this little nook in the middle of some rocks and trees...a perfect place to set up the chairs. It was overlooking the reservoir.Thomas began to unpack the lunch and found himself a turkey sandwich! He was so excited! That sandwich was gone in a flash. I enjoyed my PB and J...but really wished I had a turkey sandwich too. Doctor says to stay away from deli meats, unless you heat them up. YUCK! So, PB and J is what I eat a lot these days....or grilled cheese....or just ice cream.

The picnic was fabulous- lots of fun food to eat and a great view...unless my belly is in the way :)A few weeks later, we were off to the mountains for the weekend! We went to Allens Park with Heather, Daniel, Miriam, Deborah, Stephen and Monica. It was good family time... a great view from the cabin, good food shared, and of course movies and games. Staying at the cabin that weekend was quite a retreat and we absolutely loved spending time with our family and relaxing. Thanks Heather!!!

There she is! Giving the peace sign to all her future friends and family members. That shadowy blob on the left is her flexed foot. Isn't she cute?!

Yesterday I went to get another ultrasound to see if my placenta has moved over. It was in the way of the "exit" at 20 weeks. So, we re checked it and it has moved. This means the exit is no longer blocked :)

It was really fun to see our little crazy baby move around and play. She is definitely an active little gal. She really didn't stop moving the entire time. Whenever we had a good visual on her face, she would quickly cover it with her arm. And she apparently likes to play with her toes...a lot! She's gonna be a mover and a shaker... if she comes out as active as she is in my belly! After the technician got more measurements of bones, heart, head and such, she asked, "are you really due in November?" I said yes and asked why and she proceeded to tell me that our little girl is weighing in at a whopping 6.1 pounds! REALLY!? Albeit, there is a one pound give or take, so she's anywhere from 5.1-7.1 pounds. I'm feeling a little skeptical about that weight... kinda like I'm feeling a little skeptical about my own weight. Scale....Shmale.....who cares!

I'm off to eat a brownie. Lots of love to you all!!!

Fat Hands

It finally happened.... My hands are getting fat! Now it wouldn't really matter, but the fact that I still have my wedding ring on my finger makes it matter because I'm not sure if it's going to come off! I admit, I'm in denial of my hands getting fat. I keep telling myself that I just ate too much salt or that it's really hot out and I'm swelling up. But, there's just no denying it anymore because my ring is tight in the middle of the night... no saltiness and no heat. So, I guess I'll have to "man up" (or shall I say, "mom up") and get this ring off my finger. Just another sacrifice, right!?

I better bust out the dish soap and store it in a safe place till my hands get back to normal. Will they? They better! I can't walk around without my wedding ring on! Could you imagine what all those single men would do!?!?!?! HAHAHA... Just kidding! But for real, I LOVE Thomas and want that little token of our eternal love for each other to be attached to me at all times.

Maybe I'll get a nice big fake diamond.... I mean, real big.... they sell those somewhere, right?

A Place to Rest

Our little girl will now have a place to lay her head. The crib came!!! It was about 6:30 when Thomas got home to a big box and he couldn't wait to put it together. I said putting it together tomorrow would be fine, but he was just too excited. So... here he is getting all the parts out of the box.

And here he is being silly... it's kinda funny how much a crib looks like a jail. Is that what it's supposed to be? I guess when you put your kid in a crib, you expect it to stay put and confined to one area...like jail! Hahaha.. And can I just say, my super handy husband didn't look at the instruction manual. He got all the parts out and knew exactly what to do with them. I was a little skeptical, but as you can see below, he did a great job!

Here it is!!! After putting it all together we really wanted to put all the bedding on it. So, of course, Thomas said we should go get a mattress and put it all together for real. It will be all ready by the time this crazy girl comes! I would like to point out the two blankets.. The one on the left is the one my Grandma made for either me or Becky and my mom used it for us and for Harrison. And she has passed it on to us for our daughter. And, the one on the right... PINK MANK!!!! Harrison couldn't say blanket, so he said mank, and he had a white one forever... I think he still has it somewhere. He got us a pink one. :) So, baby room is pretty much ready! What else do we need? Once you put a crib in a room it looks just like a nursery. OK, baby, we're ready for you... I think... We're excited to meet you!!!!!!!!!!!! Will you have hair? Will you look like an alien? Will you cry a lot? Will you like sleeping like your daddy?

Baby Makes it to Aunt's Wedding!

The wedding party

YEA!!!!!!!!!!  The baby, mom and dad made it to aunt Bikini's wedding!  We were so thrilled that we were able to go for a short time.  God brought us back to Colorado after a couple of days without any complications.  What a blessing!  It was so great to be there to support Becky and David and celebrate their special day.  I just love my sister and couldn't imagine not being there.  She looked soooo beautiful!  I'm pretty sure at the reception she didn't stop dancing the entire night.  One funny moment of the wedding was during the ceremony.  The pastor handed David the microphone and here is what happened:

Pastor:  David, take this microphone and say this promise.

David:  (takes the microphone) This promise...

Pastor:  Ha...not yet, the promise you will repeat after me.

I was cracking up!  This promise....  hahahahahaha..  anyway, wedding was beautiful, weather was fabulous and seeing family was (as always) wonderful!

Bass Lake and Beyond!

Here is the gang this year...  Dad, Kathy, Ray, Susan, Lilly, Teddy, Marissa, Cam, Martin, Mimi, Thomas, Me and Baby

Here I am with baby at 27 weeks!

So...after the Bass Lake Extravaganza, we made it home just in time to do laundry, sleep a little bit and get re-packed.  Thomas was soon off to Houseboats- a trip to Flaming Gorge with 45 students for a week of fun and I was off to Laguna Beach to help Becky get all ready for her big day.  Well....  our plans don't always line up with God's plans for us.  And we know that His plans are better... although sometimes it doesn't seem that way.  As I was getting my raffia to tie bows around starfish for the wedding at Hobby Lobby, I got a call from my ever so loving sister in law.  She thought I should see the doctor about the uncomfortable tight feeling I was experiencing.  Well....she's pretty smart and I listened and with much hesitation I called my doctor and went for a visit.  I was leaving for 2 and a half weeks, so it was a good idea to make sure everything was OK.  Well...  it  wasn't.  Apparently, I had some pre term labor contractions that the doc took very seriously.

After many tears and feelings of anger and sadness, I went to the hospital to be monitored.  As you may have guessed, doc wasn't letting me go anywhere.  So my flight to CA left without me and I was hooked up to a monitor for two days with my loving husband my my bed...who by the way...helped me go to the bathroom every time I needed to.

The days went by and doctor put me on bed rest until the next test.  The test will tell me if I am at risk of delivering early.  The test happens on Tuesday.  I better fly out on Thursday.  Let's pray that the good Lord will let me be at my sister's wedding!  Bed rest, bed rest....it's REALLY boring...unless your MOM comes to hang out with you....

Here she is...my loving mother...here to take care of me!

While Thomas was on his houseboat trip, my mom came to be my nurse.  She was wonderful!  Here are just a few things she did for me to show me how much she loves me and baby...
- Vacuumed
- Dusted
- Washed sheets
- went to the grocery store
- Watched a soap opera with me
- Got really good at Wheel of Fortune
- Made me grilled cheese and tater tots (twice)
- Baked me a cake for my birthday and made dinner for 14 people!
- Did Sudoku puzzles with me
- Built a shell puzzle with me
- Drove me to the doctor
- Got me Salvaggios
- Rubbed my Back
- Loved me like my mom!

Thanks mom!!!

I also have to give a shout out to Angie, Emma, Addie and Brody who also took care of me for a couple of days...made sure my water cup was full, cooked me pink fish and tapioca pudding and even brought me flowers!  Thanks Osbornes!!!!!

This is basically what we looked like throughout the day.  I had a few bloody noses and every time I tortured mom with her ear drops, she had to put that in her ear.  We are so cool!

Baby Gets Chased By Ducks

It's no ordinary day when you have two ducks chasing after you....in the middle of a suburb!

I'm not quite sure where these ducks were coming from or where they were going, but all I know is they were a little more friendly than I expected.

Thomas and I were on our after dinner walk with our camera, why, I'm not sure, but he brought it along.  All of a sudden this car comes to a screeching stop.  We turn around and see two ducks quickly crossing the road.  The car had to wait for them to pass and as we stood by watching, they just got closer and closer.  Nothing was going to stop them from coming to say hello.

Of course, Thomas wanted to take a picture of me with the ducks, but they were seriously getting really close to nipping at my ankles.  It was kinda scary.  But he was determined to get a picture of Baby Getting Chased By Ducks!

The two webbed buddies followed us until one of my former students hopped out from behind a tree with a loaf of bread....needless to say, the webbed buddies were now attacking him and not me.

Throwdown with Bobby Flay

As I lay in bed flipping through the channels, I come across the ever-so- yummy Food Network channel.  It's one of my favs...Throwdown with Bobby Flay!  I get really excited when either this or Ace of Cakes is on.  Usually it's late here, so it's not too often that I watch.  As Thomas was working on his Theology paper, I soak it all in...the Red Velvet Cake Throwdown!!!  If you haven't seen this show it's all about Bobby Flay taking on other chefs to see who makes the better whatever.  Last night was Red Velvet Cake.  YUM!!!

So we did.
And we decorated it very girly....

Sitting Down

I call this post "sitting down" because that's how our our little one will go pee! Eventually, of course, when SHE is potty trained.

Going to sleep last night was like trying to go to sleep on Christmas Eve....I couldn't fall asleep at all and as soon as I would, I woke up every couple of hours smiling with excitement peeking at the clock. It was a restless night, but I'm thankful that I made our appointment in the morning. We didn't have to wait too long to discover that our little ball of energy would soon be our little girl.

The alarm went off (although I was already wide awake) and I got up and went to the bathroom. Then it was time to start drinking my 32 ounces of water...WITHOUT peeing! It was tough. The entire way to the doctor I thought I was going to pee my pants. Then I really almost did when the radiologist started pushing on my belly. Luckily, he let me free after a few minutes to relieve myself. After many measurements and numbers and pictures of baby, he finally zoomed in on THE SPOT. Apparently, there it was...or wasn't. We are blessed to say she has all of her limbs, a good size brain, a beating heart, weighs a pound, but not too much wriggle room. She was quite active, actually, and it was hard to get a good glimpse of her profile until the end when I shook her up a bit. She looks cute in there...albeit...cramped. At one point she had her two feet clear up next to her head!! At any rate, we are very excited!

Naturally, I went right over to Target after Thomas went to work. (Well, I called a few people before that:)) I got pretty overwhelmed looking at all the girl stuff and baby stuff and I ended up walking out of there with a little soccer ball and pink socks that say "Daddy's Little Angel". I figure she'll get some use out of both. Now, as many of you know I really love the color pink, so it's fitting that we are having a girl. So..THINK PINK everyone!!! And let's hope that we aren't surprised with a boy upon delivery or he will look really silly dressed in all those pink clothes with cute hair bows!

Love to you all! Keep praying SHE grows well and healthy!

What are we creating???

I was going through some pictures trying to get some together to print and I came across our Rocky Mountain National Park adventure.  Thomas and I went on a hike and saw loads of Elk about a month ago.  It was gorgeous.  The first thing I thought of when I was going through these photos was...is our kid going to be just like us?  If so...it might be a little scary.  Here is what I found...

Not mad...just posing for the camera.
Not sure what this pose is....
Nope, wasn't sick......
And here is DAD!
I'm not sure if he ever takes a picture without one of them looking like this.
Hmmm...
If our little being that is so fearfully and wonderfully made by God is going to turn out like us, picture takers beware!  The "normal" pictures might not outweigh the "not-so-normal" pictures.

Whoa Oh We're Halfway There...

Whoa Oh...Living on a Prayer!

So here it is. The belly at 20 weeks. It feels big, but I guess I'm going to just keep getting bigger. I bought my first pair of maternity shorts the other day. I got really excited about them because they don't have that full panel that goes over my whole stomach and up my back and basically holds up my boobs too. It's just a below the waist band that is stretchy. I love them! But...I haven't been able to wear them due to RAIN. It's rainy and gloomy here, but I am confident that I will wear my preggo shorts soon.

Now this has nothing to do with my belly, but it has everything to do with my mother! I just want everyone to watch out! Because she is going to look sooooooooooooooo HOT at Becky's wedding. Her dress is absolutely fabulous and I'm really excited for everyone to see it. Good pick, Mom!

Anyway, more belly pics on the way. Off to bear the weather--maybe in shorts...we'll see!

Lying in a Hammock eating Raspberries

Doc says I'm 17 weeks and 3 days, but books say I'm 18 weeks along.  Either way you look at it, I've got a belly.  A belly that's screaming for stretchy pants and bigger shirts.  But so far all I've really done regarding baby is start a blog, had numerous headaches (which my aunt calls "practice headaches" for when baby is a teenager), no morning sickness, lots of gas, one puke session and I've bought one toy.  It's been easy peasy so far....thank God!  My favorite thing about being pregnant is two fold...one is hearing the heartbeat when we go to the doctor and two is Thomas.  My next visit is June 17 and we will find out then whether our baby...as mom puts it...will pee standing up or sitting down.  Woohoo!!!  When I think about a kid I think about buying it footballs and baseball bats, but my mind soon thinks of hair bows and tea parties.  I think I'd prefer going to baseball games than having pretend tea parties, so hopefully baby...if it's a girl...will be like me!  Most days I'm really excited to be a mom (mostly becuase Thomas will be the dad) but on a rare occasion I FREAK OUT...thinking to myself what the heck am I going to do?!  I have to breastfeed...holy s***t!!  The freak out sessions usually end with thoughts of labor and then I quickly grab some ice cream or a pickle to forget about it all.

Now back to Thomas...  he is pretty much the best thing EVER!  He has been absolutely wonderful!  From making dinner to being patient when I cry over silly things to letting me drive because I get car sick.  He's a great hubby and I seriously thank God for him every day!  Im' not joking when I say that right before I started blogging this entry I was lying in our hammock on our deck watching the sunset and Thomas comes out and says dinner is almost ready and hands me a bowl of raspberries for my appetizer.  Now that's the life!  That's the pregnant life!  Don't you all wish you had Thomas around?!?!?!

Becky's Shower

Mom and I flew to Atlanta last weekend to celebrate Becky!!! It was such an amazing time. It was definitely a whirlwind of a trip because it was so fast, but we made the best of it as always. Becky and David picked my up after a bumpy flight at around midnight on Friday (I couldn't miss my last day of school) and then we went right to bed. After getting ready for the shower, it was off to the Library- a really great coffee shop with yummy bagels! We drove, well, Becky drove, for about 2 hours and we reached the celebration spot! It was David's parents house in South Carolina. They live on a lake and I was bummed I didn't bring my bathing suit!!! I'm not sure baby would have liked the jet ski ride, but it looked really inviting.

Lots to eat and drink and people to meet at the shower! It was really fun to get to know some of Becky's future family members. Luckily, mom and I won at the "How well do you know Becky Game". It would have been a little embarrassing if we hadn't. Becky got lots of great gifts and I'm sure she feels very blessed. I loved the shower!!!

As you saw, there are some picture above and I think you can see my growing baby bump in some of the photos. Yippee!!! Hope everyone is doing well. More posts to come soon!

I LOVE YOU BECKY!!!

Heil Valley Ranch...More Like Hurl Valley Ranch

The other day I went on a field trip with my students to Heil Valley Ranch. We took our nature journals, lunches and hiking shoes and started exploring all the scat, prints and wildlife we could find. Well, the bus ride there was a bit bumpy...a lot bumpy actually. I was sitting in the front seat near the window so you'd think I'd be OK. HA! When we finally arrived, I thanked Jesus I was on land again. I felt fine hiking around and laughing with my group of students, especially at the one kid who decided it would be a good idea to taste things along the trail. (I hope he's OK) It wasn't long until baby really decided to tell me bus rides were NOT a good idea. After playing in the creek (pronounced crick around these parts) we ate our lunches and got back on the bus. That's when it all turned upside down...literally. Now, if you're eating or preparing food, or just have a weak stomach, stop reading now. But for those of you who might need a laugh, keep reading. I tried really hard to breathe deep and get some air on the way back to school, but I could just tell I was going to hurl any second. As soon as the bus pulled up, I jolted into my classroom and sat near the trash can and hoped the kids would just go right to recess. They did. After a few minutes of just feeling sick, but nothing happening, I went to the hall to ask my teammate to watch my class when they got back inside. I only made it to "Hey Amanda, will you..." And then it was straight to the garbage from there puking up everything in me. This poor lady who works with me held my hair back and got me water and napkins. It was gross to say the least, but at least she is a mom and has seen worse...I hope... Well, after that, I felt much better. Just needed to get that out of my system and now I know to NEVER ride the bus! So far, baby has taught me these two very important things: Never ride a school bus and never eat hot dogs. We'll see what else is in store! Hope you all have a terrific day! After all that, I know you're thinking...she has the best job ever! I do, I know. It's awesome. As you all were sitting around working, I was on a hike in the mountains with my students...doesn't get much better!

Love to you all!

Fifths Disease---Immune!

God has protected our little family once again! After getting the blood results back, it showed that I was already exposed to fifths disease a long time ago. After one is exposed once, you are immune after that. Pretty cool!!! So, baby is safe and I'm still feeling good. Praise God!!!

Not immune---baby bills! I already have a file started of baby bills and this little one is already costing money...I can't imagine what it will be like when it's actually here! I might want to learn how to sew, cook, and change cloth diapers. Ha...that'll never happen...

To pee or not to pee...

That is the question!  I absolutely HATE waking up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom.  It's just so annoying especially when it is so dark that no one in their right mind would want to turn on the lights and go blind for a few seconds.  And...have you ever thought like I have that there is something scary in the toilet waiting for you to sit down in the dark half asleep?!?!  Maybe I have a messed up thought process in the middle of the night.

Anyway, as annoying as it is...even multiple times a night...I know more is coming my way.  Not only the dark, monster in the toilet, getting up to pee moments, but soon enough there will be a BABY ready to wake up at any given time, which I'm sure, will not be ideal for me.  But hey...it's gonna be a great adventure and I'm super excited about all of it!

That is the question, to pee or not to pee, because all too often I try and hold it till morning but am soon discouraged by what the clock says and I say to myself, "to pee!"

The belly at 13 weeks

Well, it's not much yet, but trust me, it feels BIG sometimes. It's my belly!!! There's a little baby in there about 6 cm long. It already looks really cute! I've learned a few things thus far:
*don't eat too much at one sitting
*don't eat hot dogs
*I love ice cream- I used to, so I'm not sure if that's something I've learned
*Baby needs vitamins- and I gag every time I take them
*It's really in there
*My students think it's funny to come up with ridiculous names---Ponce
*As much as I need foot rubs, so does Thomas- he takes good care of me
*My toilet gets a lot more use
Those are just a few...many more ahas to come! Something you all can be praying for--- I need to go in for blood tests because I have been exposed to fifths disease. Pray that everything is still OK and that my blood results come back normal. Thanks :)

We hope you enjoy our blog!!! But remember, it's all Bridget's fault.

It's all Bridget's fault

It started at Shirley's, i know, yum!  Bridget came up with this grand idea of a blog....well, it's more like a baby blog.  So here goes!  Week 13 is where we're at.  Getting fatter by the minute...not sure if it's the food I love or the little baby in there.  I'm feeling good.  No morning sickness, no weird cravings, no horrible fatigue and no complications!  I am so thankful!  I'm not sure what I would do if I had to run out and puke while my fourth graders wondered what the heck was wrong with me.  God is good.  No one has witnessed the dash out of the room.

It really all started when I fainted in class.  The kids almost called 9-11.  Not really, but they were pretty close.  I started to fall over and caught myself on Joe's desk and said, "hmmm, I don't feel too good"  and sat down.  They got the nurse and Thomas got me.  Home I went and just a few weeks later I saw the stick....PREGNANT!  There wasn't an exclamation mark on the stick, but there was in my head.  Not so much excited, but more like crapping my pants.  Now, however, I am very excited...as is Thomas.

Well, I hope you enjoy the sporadic updates of baby and us.  Things are going well so far and we would love any extra prayers we can get.  Pray that baby makes it for the long haul and that I don't sweat to death this summer.  Love to you all!  Many more posts to come...
